Our hair tells our story. For many of us, our hair has been the centrepiece of our identity. A source of pride, frustration, and exploration into our ancestry. Each Wash Day becomes a time of renewal and reconnection with our hair.

Continuing from what was started in the AURA Circle: For the Love of Black Hair workshop, this monthly virtual Wash Day is an opportunity to feel supported and to openly discuss any hair topics or experiences. Welcome to work through a chosen phase of your Wash Day during the session. Feel free to drop-in and out as needed.

This invitation is extended to individuals who self-identify as Black. It will just be us, your hair, and possibly the styling products or tools you choose to use.

Intentions:

• To create a sharing circle dedicated to the love and celebration of our Black hair

• To curiously witness, learn, and embrace each other’s unique Black hair

• To help cultivate a healthier relationship with our own individual hair and identity
