ORGANIZATION: Nia Centre for the Arts
Erica will be facilitating this AURA created workshop through Nia Centre’s Wellness Connect program. Nia Centre is a Toronto-based not-for-profit arts centre that supports, showcases and promotes an appreciation of arts from across the African Diaspora.
Workshop Details:
See the beauty in the ordinary. During this session we will cultivate connection with nature by observing and honouring a piece of nature we have collected from the great outdoors.
Learn tips to maintain your relationship with nature whether inside or outside. And we’ll use various mindfulness practices such as guided meditation, a mindful activity and time for artistic expression to build awareness and see nature in a new light.
Wellness Connect is a free program that allows Black youth and emerging artists between the ages of 14-29 to explore wellness through an artistic lens. In each session, participants will have the opportunity to press pause and let go while learning the best practices for developing a routine that supports your mental well-being.
