Embodied Yoga

A slower, earthier 30-min yoga practice I was recently introduced to by creator Kate Middleton, an Embodied Yoga Teacher and Somatic Movement Therapist.

The intention of this experimental session is to get you feeling more grounded in your body with poses inspired by the four elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air.

Wearing comfortable, stretchy or loose clothing is recommended. Welcome to do any desired warmups prior to the session.

Each day on the mat is different. Please listen to and honour your body’s cues if experiencing any sharp or continuous pain from going too deep into a pose (overextending) or ignoring important teacher cues. Easing back on the pose or moving into one that is safe and comfortable to you is recommended.

You are welcome to share any relevant health information about yourself prior to the beginning of class publicly or using the chat option set to private to message Erica directly. This will allow her to better accommodate you with suggested modifications to poses during your session.
